Do You Have a Problem Deciding What is Right for YouHave you ever been in a dilemma where you wonder what is right for you? Have you been in a situation where you didn't know which appropriate action to take? When you did make a decision, how did you come to the conclusion? Did you rely on other people's opinions? Did you go against your own needs just to fit in? Or did you go ahead and did what you felt was proper and fitting even when you were uncertain of the outcome? If you have picked your choice based on your own personal values and without being influenced by others, congratulate yourself for having used your personal power. You may have made the right decision and that could have given you positive reinforcement. But what if it did not turn out as you have anticipated? How did you respond? Did you get angry, belittle yourself and vow that you will not do it again and leave your fate to chance and people? Or did you accept the outcome and used it as a feedback and discovered something useful? It's understandable to feel overwhelmed if you have to make a major decision. But some people don't know what to do and can't even make up their minds on trivial issues. How to Decide on What is RightAlbert Einstein and Thomas Edison knew what they wanted and even when they found many ways that didn't work, they kept going until they succeeded. Think of and focus on the end result that you want. Right thinking produces right actions. When you know what you want, you will persist in spite of the initial lack of progress. You can think and think again all day long on. You can listen to many opinions and suggestions. But if you don't take action, you don't get any result and you wouldn't know the outcome. The best way to determine for sure if something works is to take action. Most of the times you know what to do but you are afraid. Take risks and make mistakes. What's the worst thing that can happen if you do it? What's the best that will come out from your action? As Charlie T Jones said, "Don't worry about having to make a right decision. Make it and then work to make it right." Continue to feed your mind with useful information. It opens your mind to more options. When you have plenty of options, you can make better choices and do what is right and at the right time. Don't try to fit in to make people happy. What is right for others doesn't mean it's decent for you too. You can't please everyone. When it comes to determining your own life, you shouldn't allow others to do it for you. People are more interested in themselves and their needs. There are times when you have to be selfish and live your life based on your own values and needs. In order to hear, you must listen. And to enable you to listen to the voice within, you must learn to relax and be still. All the answers that you need are within. Learn to trust and act upon them.
