About Self-Acceptance

A study states that the higher a person's self-acceptance, the higher is her self esteem. So it is important that you bring together the courage to acknowledge who you are.

Accepting yourself without complaining is akin to a healthy self love. Loving yourself and your body is not egoistical. Coming to terms with your limitations is not denial.

You can never become perfect and therefore have to stop being self critical. There are parts of you that you can change and work on to enhance yourself. However, you'll experience stress when you focus on substance that you should disregard.

"Since the perfect human being has not been discovered, we all need to live with our hangups and our idiosyncrasies until they can be ironed out. One of the most important qualities in successful, dynamic living is that of self-acceptance." - Denis Waitley
