RIP Tony

by Ana R
(United states,Texas,fort worth)

Well, it was a sunny warm Sunday morning when my sister and I awoke. We all thought, "let's make mom and dad happy so they can take us somewhere nice."

But we found out that they left the house at 5:00 am. We thought that maybe they had to go to the doctor or they went to Dallas with my aunt and gone to the garage sale. Since we live at Fort Worth it takes us one hour to get there.

So we cleaned the house so that our mom won't have to clean up much. We cleaned dad's computer and his desk. We even cooked a little breakfast for them to eat when they get back. We also gave the little kids a bath so mom won't have to bother.

When we saw our dad's car we got excited. "Act like you are still cleaning so they would see" my big sis Yadira said.

But the day we thought was going to be the best got bad. Wait...it was not bad, it was the WORST!

We saw dad came through the door crying. Our dad came to us and gave us a hug saying, "your cousin Tony is dead". Then mom joined us as we gave each other a hug.

"My cousin died how did he die?" I asked, confused.

"It was 4.00. He had just finished work. He was tired so he stayed in his car and listened to music. He fell asleep. As he slept he was inhaling gas in the car and that killed him." my dad said

His funeral was at Mexico where he was born and raised. Not that long afterwards, his girlfriend got the news. She cried and she said that he was the best boyfriend she ever had.

My cousin will never be forgotten. He will always be on our hearts.

R.I.P Tony Mireles - died in 2009 ;(
