Are You Making ProgressThink progress and keep making daily improvements if you want to experience amazing results in your life. Commit yourself to a never ending and steady development. What you do or don't do today and every other day will determine how far you will advance in your career, how much you'll earn and how your relationships will turn out. One of the ways to gauge if you have made any improvement is to measure it. Look at each area of your life. Compare where you were, what you were doing, how much you were earning, how heavy you were, etc., one year, three years, five years and ten years ago to what you are having, doing and being now. If the answers don't please you, it can mean that you have been doing something wrong. If it's not balanced whereby you are making progress in one area but has neglected the rest, it's probably because you are not giving equal attention. "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." - George Bernard Shaw How to Keep on Making ProgressIt means to take complete ownership of your state of mind, your thoughts, emotions and actions. Don't blame other people for what you have become. Stop making excuses and justifications for your lack of advancement. Become an expert in handling situations and take responsibility. You are the creator of your own world. You become your own master when you develop the ability to become aware, shift your perceptions and make your own decisions. You must have written goals with datelines. Plan out your strategies and take action every day without fail until you reach each one on your list. Some things you must measure at the end of the day, some at the end of the week and months. This is one of the ways to know how much progress you've made. It's also easier to amend errors and change your strategies if one thing doesn't work out. Leave behind your limiting beliefs and your painful relationships. Have the courage to change your behavior and drop defeating attitudes. What you do each day is going to become your past. So take action that will provide reference experiences that are useful and lead you to the results that you want. Personal growth requires new thinking and doing the right things. Being and living in your safe haven is comfortable and less scary. It also makes your life stagnant where everything remains the same. That's where your life begins and ends. Great things in life happen when you are willing to take massive actions, sacrifice your comfort and experience the mistakes. These are the things that keep you growing and advance continuously. The short cut to success is learning from others who have made it. People who are successful don't wait for things to happen. They initiate and follow through. They have goals and work on their goals until they accomplish what they set out to do. Once they achieve one, they set another. You will face internal conflicts and think of setbacks, failures and disappointments You will fear the unknown, doubt yourself and start to question on whether it's worth your time and effort. In order to fight your resistance to change, question your limiting beliefs, self talks and past mental programming. Put aside some quiet hours to find the answers. Quiet moments allow you to become aware and listen to your own communication. You will discover that your biggest resistance comes from your thoughts and your own words. Once you come to that realization, all you need to do is give your mind new instructions and directions. If you want to wait for the right time or the right place or until you are ready and equipped, you won't start anything because there it doesn't exist except in your mind. Whatever you plan to start, do it. Knowledge is good, so gather the information that you need. Once you have sufficient data, start work. You'll learn more as you move along and make small progress which will later developed into more knowledge and experiences. Your Response or CommentWhat do you think?
