It involves mainly a complete change in your thinking, views and attitudes. To leave the past totally behind and start anew, you have to start with the awareness that you have to change. Self-acceptance is important. You have to acknowledge that your present views about yourself and life have not been useful and helpful to develop yourself fully. When you start to realize that you are operating your life using only half of your potential, you need to shift your thinking. Changing and self-modification is uncomfortable but staying the same can cause more damage to you in the long run. How to make the personal shift.
Your environment, relationship, financial condition and personal life reflect what's in your mind. In order to transform yourself, you have to change your thoughts and the things that goes into your mind. You must change the pictures on how you view yourself and your world. Your perceptions control your behavior and responses.
Your habitual patterns of negative thinking, feeling and behaving are the roadblocks to your personal transformation. Remove them and install better ones. Discard losing thoughts and replace them with thoughts of faith, hope and high expectations. Get rid of negative beliefs. Acknowledge your strengths and use them as tools for your development.
You must learn to choose the best strategies and step-by-step plans for changing how you think, feel, and what actions to take. The right actions practiced daily produce the right results.
Use the power of your imagination to re-program your brain to bring about your personal transformation. Practice in your mind what you want to improve in your outer life. In your imagination, you can distort your past and reinvent yourself.
Reflection is necessary especially for you to discover your inner conflict. You may want to transform yourself but there is something inside you that are conflicting. Reflect to find out what it is that you are resisting and getting in your way. You have to understand your real feeling so that you can have a better peace of mind while you are in the transforming process. In the beginning your internal defense will try to get you to stay away from making change and progress. |
