Your personal experiences are invaluable lessons that can help you create new adventures.

Your personal experiences are the collections of thoughts, events, activities, knowledge and those bits and pieces of happenings that you went through in your life. You have accumulated them from childhood. They are useful for your personal growth and success in life and are feedbacks that will help you do better.

You have become skillful at everything that you do today from the lessons you have learned and the experiences that you have acquired through repetition or through trial and error.

Any kind of action, activity, thought, attitude or behavior produces results. Knowing what works and what doesn?t simplifies your life and allow you to make the right decisions and take the appropriate actions.

However, not everyone have made used of the benefits from their past events and mistakes and remember their accomplishments. Either they have not sat down to think through and reflect or that they simply refuse to remember because they associate the happenings in their life more toward pain and failure.

Bear in mind though, that regardless of how bad you have dealt with life, there is something of value that you can gain from the events that have happened. From them you learn to experience emotions, made use of your creative thoughts and learn to associate and frame things.

Limited life experiences limits your thinking and beliefs. Accepting past failures and mistakes and not challenging them will lead to stagnancy and retards the development of your real potential.

How to create new personal experiences to enhance your personal growth and success.

  • Try new things.

When you reach a certain period in life, you tend to lose curiosity and have developed many habitual patterns of thinking and doing things. You go through the same routines and chores. You may develop the fear to try or experience new things and to meet new people. You will dull your life and block your creativity.

In order to create new and better personal experiences, do something that you have not done before. Do the things that you fear and lack the confidence to pursue. Learn, do, become more daring and add new adventures into your life to bring more spice and vigor.

  • See new scenes and meet different people.

New and different scenes and encounters allow you to witness and learn more of the things that you have not known. Life and people can teach you about the reality of existence and how you fit in. Let them touch you so that and you will become more open and wiser.

Everywhere people are doing something to either take control of their existence or allowing things to determine their life and future. When you notice power in some people, remind yourself that you too, can acquire the same attributes.

  • Journal your observations, insights and involvements.

Writing helps you remember your personal experiences. You cannot rely on your memory to help you bring the past because at times your memories only show you the pains, regrets and mistakes. Journal everything that you do, achieve and observe.

You can use the information to track back when you are challenged. You can use your past experiences to look back at the steps you have take to develop new skills. It will also reveal that whatever emotions, fears and anxieties you had then, either you have overcome them or they never happened. This should make you understand that everything passes through time and your action or inaction makes the difference.
