"Don't agonize. Organize." - Florynce Kennedy

Trying to organize your life and putting your priorities in order can cause a great amount of stress and make you feel overwhelmed. There are too many things to do in a day and there are important people in your life that need attention. As a result of the lack of focus and self management, you tend to do whatever that makes sense at the present moment.

The clutters in your work, business, relationships and personal life disclose your habits, your state of mind and your lack of discipline. Putting off paying your bills, tardiness and untidiness are the results of the wrong attitude.

You are responsible to attain orderliness and that means accepting that you are the cause of the mess in your life and it is you who should fix them. Unless you are able to manage your self, it is difficult to coordinate your time with the tasks and people in your life.

How to get organized and become more effective.

  • Having the right attitude.

Your attitude about the value of time and living an orderly lifestyle are important aspects of personal organization. You can build in the right attitude by eliminating your old and limiting thought patterns that do not serve you. Your perception about the importance of efficiency affects your behavior and results.

  • Knowing your priorities.

In order for you to prioritize your activities, you need to know your goals. You have to plan your days ahead and put things in order. You need to determine how you will spend your day, with whom you want to spend it with and what are the things that must get done. Writing in your organizer and breaking them down to smaller pieces will help you stay focused and eliminate unproductive activities.

  • Following through with self-discipline.

You have to set your own rules and follow through. That means you have to do the necessary things even if you don't feel like doing them. Habitual procrastination shows your lack of self-discipline which gradually will affect your personal growth and everything else in your life.

  • Reviewing your daily performance.

The purpose of reviewing is to check on your activities, the time that you spent on each and the progress that you have made. You need to examine your routines so that you can become aware, rearrange and focus on doing the right things. When you keep track, you overcome the tendency to neglect your responsibilities.

  • Allow for quiet moments.

Most people think that running around and being mobile all the time will get things done. They don't have time to pause and just be. They normally get frustrated.

In order to get your life better organized, you need to have some quiet moments to relax. Getting into an hour of ultra deep meditation will help you calm your mind. This hour is well spent because it will let you see the total big picture of your activities and your life with clarity.
