The Mediocre LifeThere's nothing wrong with being mediocre or average if you are happy with your ordinary lifestyle. You have plenty of company because this is a common situation. Many people prefer to stay within their comfort zone. Every now and then they do wish that they had more money, can travel and see the world with their families, or hold a higher position in their workplace. But it's usually just a nonchalant thought because they think it's out of their reach. If you choose to be the regular guy who goes to work in the morning, come back home and watch television, and spend the weekends watching more soap, be prepared for an unexciting and mundane life. But of course you wouldn't mind that because you don't have to impose the disciplines, work so hard, take risks and you have no added responsibility. But if you aren't happy and feel stuck in your mediocre life, you can always turn it around.
"The first enemy that we've got to destroy before it destroys us is indifference - drifting along." - Jim Rohn Turning Mediocrity into GreatnessChange the way you've been thinking and doing things that aren't productive and constructive. Remove doubts, fear and uncertainties by taking action and affirming positive thoughts. But it takes consistent effort. You must challenge your negative thoughts everyday and replace them with optimism and hope. You must want to achieve greatness and believe that you can. Dream big and find powerful reasons to keep you going. Think of the kind of life you want to experience, the people whom you wish to meet, and the places you want to see. Your dreams will push you in the right direction and bring out your best self. Having well defined goals is the motivating factor to create that personal change. You set them, visualize the accomplishments and act as if it were impossible not to succeed. Your focused attention will help you overcome doubts and fears and build courage and faith. You may lack the qualification or aptitude but with self discipline, you can learn almost any skill and gather as much information as you require. Getting out of a mediocre lifestyle does not allow for laziness and an indifference attitude. You have to put in the hours and the work. Learn to manage your time and your priorities. Do the things that require you to act in spite of the challenges. A few unfavorable habitual thoughts and actions have to go. Bear with a little discomfort initially until you create new empowering patterns of thoughts and habits. Your environment and the people around you have influenced you up to this moment. Break away and surround yourself with inspiring and positive people. Read books, listen and watch motivational programs to unlearn, relearn and open your mind to new ideas. You may have to find lots of them before you "get it", but once you do, it will positively affect your thinking, and attitudes. You are responsible on how your life turns out. Outwork your previous self and strive for excellence. Go the extra mile and keep doing things and putting in the efforts even if you see little progress. The more right things you do, the better are your chances of getting over your humps in life. Try the MindMaster. It is a words and image subliminal message tool.
