Tips to bring back the motivation when you lack the drive to thrive.

Do you lack the drive to do anything though you know that you should? Do you set goals but don't have the enthusiasm to take any kind of action?

Do you find yourself taking a lackadaisical approach towards a lot of things? What made you develop these kind of attitudes?

There are various causes and reasons and among them are...

  1. Uninspiring or no specific goals.
  2. Fears.
  3. Financial, relationship or health problems.
  4. Lack of knowledge or skill.
  5. Feeling unworthy.
  6. Have lost faith.
  7. Plain lazy.

Take some time for reflection and see if anyone of the above describe your lack of will to take action. You may have other reasons which you can add to this list.

Now, how can you overcome the problem? What can you do to bring back your enthusiasm?

Here are some actions you can take when you lack the drive.

  • Goals.

Jim Rohn said that you should set powerful goals that are inspiring, believable and that you can act on.

If you set your goals to please someone, you won't do all that you can and the best you can because it's not yours.

So take a look at your list. See if your goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and that you have set a deadline.

  • See it in your mind.

Stephen R. Covey mentioned that all things are created twice. You have to first see it in your mind in order for you to make things materialize on the outside.

You are already using your imagination without you realizing it. You aren't inspired to make things happen because you are creating pictures that don't inspire you to take action. All you need to do is change those pictures. Create the ones that you want to see happening.

Use the MindMaster, a tool to help you reprogram your subconscious to accept new empowering pictures and affirmations.

  • Self-evaluation.

Are you aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Do you know what you are lacking in terms of knowledge and skills? Do you want to remain where you are a few years from now, with the same job, lifestyle and problems?

You have to start asking yourself some serious questions. You must start thinking to help you shift your awareness.

Find something that you love to do and do it. When you engage yourself in something that you are passionate about, you can change your state of mind.

  • Connect with people.

Don't go looking for the people who lack the drive to change and grow. Connect instead with those who can show you how to bring out your best and are serious about progress and success.

You need exposure to these kind of people to find some inspiration and gather lots of ideas. One idea may change your perception and make a huge difference to your life.

  • Start observing and noticing.

If you just lack the drive and have lost faith in yourself, take this time to pause and observe people, nature, things around you and your internal thoughts. You will start to notice things which you may have not seen before and see a new light.
