"Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see." - Mark Twain

You can show your act of kindness through words, efforts and gestures. Whatever you do or say to anyone that shows a little compassion and empathy will make a difference to the person who receives it.

When people make mistakes, even serious ones, or treat you badly, it is easy to get angry and upset. At times like this, it is best that you refrain from making judgments, criticizing or hurting back.

Almost everywhere you go, you will meet people who are suffering or saddened by loss. It could range from ailing health, loss of loved ones or jobs. Try to show consideration toward these people for they are hurting inside.

Whatever great acts that you do are never wasted. Your affection may help others feel stronger. Your good deeds no matter how small, will have positive consequences.

Ways to show your kind acts.

  • Listening attentively.

Listening is the best compliment that you can give toward someone. The act of listening is on of the best ways to show your sympathy toward someone who is sad and discouraged.

  • Give a smile or a hug.

The simplest gesture is giving a smile. A hug will warm the heart. Be generous with your smiles. Give it away as much as you can and to whoever that you can possibly offer. Make use of the therapeutic power of touch to show tenderness and heal pains.

  • Utter kind words.

The right and carefully chosen words can help a person see that life is not hopeless and there is a future. Proper use of language and words affect people's minds and emotions.

  • Give without expecting a return.

If you are honest about being kind, give your best but don't expect anything in return. Maybe someone may fail to see your generosity. It's alright. Sooner or later your deeds will return to you.

  • Dedicate your time.

Show affection and attention by dedicating your time to do caring acts. Let your children, spouse, parents and friends remember you as a person who is always there to help them grow.

  • Leave them alone.

At times, people need to be left alone to get over difficult situations. Leave them with their thoughts because in silence, people will think through and find solutions. They will remember and thank you for giving them the space.

  • Acquire the right attitude and make it a way of life.

A compassionate attitude toward humanity should become a way of life. It means making a decision and choosing to give out to others and do things that will make a difference. You can build up the attitude over time if you continue to practice daily to do the simple things.

  • Become a role model to your children.

Your children would benefit from modeling your kind acts and sympathetic attitude. Children emulate their parents and adults. You help develop them into becoming responsible adults This trait is very useful through their journey in life.
