The Power of Intention

Intention is more than just saying that you will do something. There is power in it especially when you combine it with an image of your objective in your mind. It will cause you to plan out what you need to do

Some people say things or think of doing something but never taking any action. It is more of a wishful thinking, hoping or day dreaming.

When you set out a real or strong personal declaration, you are giving instruction to your brain and telling your subconscious the object that you are setting out to achieve or accomplish. Once you decide on a purpose, you focus your mind power and attract the resources to your aid.

Regardless of whether you have good or cruel objective, once you commit yourself, your mind will gravitate toward the thing and you will inevitably act upon it.

How to State Your Intention

Have a Compelling Reason

Look for the reason to do what you set out. It is the best way to produce the results that you are aiming to achieve. It creates the behaviors, attitudes and motivation to push you forward.

Create the Right Mental Images

Give meanings to your purpose by associating it with pictures, sounds and sensations. When things mean something to you, it affects your emotions and your frame of mind and encourages you to take action.

Carefully Choose Your Words

Say "I will", "I choose" or "I allow" instead of "I want" to yourself to confirm your desire. Using the right words affect your beliefs. What you say to yourself will determine your action. State it clearly and specifically so that your mind will understand what you are asking for or desiring to achieve.

Telling yourself that you choose, plan, allow or will do something carries different messages to your brain. When you say you will, you are affirming to yourself that you are going to take action.

Align Your Goals with Your Personal Values

For your purpose to materialize and motivate you, it should align with your personal values. When your values are not aligned with your purpose, you won't take the necessary action and make changes.

Have Great Expectations

Think positive and believe that good things will happen. When you believe and expect the good, you will attract it into your life.
