The Power of Creative Imagination and Visualization

Imagination is the creation of mental images in your mind. Everyone imagines. The difference is the quality and the intensity of the mental pictures formed.

Walt Disney and Albert Einstein were two great men who applied their creative imaginative power to change their lives and the world.

Everything that you want to experience, have and do in the real world is possible if you can imagine it. You form a mental picture of what you want, include affirmations, arouse your feelings, believe in it and visualize it consistently. It works with either good intention of bad. If you keep picturing that you are going to lose your job, feel it so deeply and believe that it is going to happen, it will.

But you can't do it on others or for others. People have their own thoughts and needs. They are living in their own world and seeing through their minds eyes. Anyway, why should you imagine something for someone else when you should use the power of your mind to improve your life?

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attraction." - Albert Einstein

How to Imagine and Visualize Something that You Desire

Decide on a goal

Decide on a goal. Do you want to change your self image? Do you want to get a job near where you live? Do you want to travel somewhere? Whatever it is that you desire, be specific. Don't say you want to a new car. What type of car do you want, what model and what color?

Consciously create your mental picture

Mentally construct the most vivid, expressive and dramatic images. Put yourself in it. You must be in the picture. See the end result not what or how you are going to reach your outcome. Create the pictures of the possibilities beyond your present reality. Imagine a situation even though it has not yet happened. Who do you want to include? Do you want your spouse to be there? Your imagination is limitless.

If you can't imagine something that you desire, cut out pictures from magazines or books and create a vision board. See these pictures and imprint them on your mind.

A tool to help you visualize and subliminally program your mind is the mindmovies. You paste the images of what you want to experience and have, add in positive affirmations and create your own movie. Watch it twice a day at least to see results.

Emotionalize

Picture what you want to actually happen in your real world. See it, feel it and experience it. Add in the sounds and the sensations. A picture with intense emotions added to it is accepted as real by the brain and nervous system. Associate pleasant and positive feelings to your pictures. By visualizing and emotionalizing your desired goal, your mind will move you toward that goal.

Visualize it

Once you've created your goal and the mental pictures, visualize it daily. The best time to do the visualization exercise is upon awakening from sleep and before you fall asleep. Repeat this exercise daily. Once you have made this a habit, it's easier to visualize it anytime during the day. The longer and the more frequent you keep this thought, the faster it materializes.

It's best that your body and mind are relaxed. Here's a simple technique to do it.

Lie down flat with your hands at your side. Take in a few deep breaths. Inhale through your nose from your stomach and exhale through your mouth. As you breathe, tell yourself that you are relaxed. Bring out the mental pictures to your mind.

Believe it

Believe that you can have what you want. This also means that you must let go of limited beliefs. Don't worry about how things are going to happen. When you believe, you attract. People, things and situations will present themselves to you.

Affirm it

Write a statement or a few sentences to affirm your mental programming and imagination. Each day read it and verbalize it silently or out loud to yourself. As you affirm these personal and positive statements, visualize your end result and feel the feelings.

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will." - George Bernard Shaw
