How to Feel BetterDo you want to know on how to feel better? The easiest way to manage and control emotions is to stop repeating negative thoughts, images and dialogs in your head. But it's easier said than done, right? Otherwise, almost everyone will feel happy most of the time. Many people go through great lengths to motivate themselves trying to feel good. Some of these like exercising, reading, listening to music, etc. are healthy and helpful to their wellbeing. Taking drugs, drinking or eating too much are temporary solutions. Once the effects of this stuff are over, they will repeat doing these things to get the good feeling again. There are people who think that other people are the source of their unhappiness and the answers to their emotional problems. So they look for one who could make them feel better especially when they are down. They are usually disappointed. The true and only solution on how to feel better is within you. If you can manage your thoughts and emotions you will feel good a majority of the time. How to Feel Better and HappierWhere is your focus of attention? Are you thinking, talking and looking at and about problems and gloom? If these are the things that fill your mind, you will get exactly what you are focusing on. You will attract the things that you consistently focus on and feel deeply about. Be aware. You must listen to yourself and watch how you get into a certain frame of mind. If you remain alert and aware of your focus of attention, you will learn how to take control and deal with them. The internal images and pictures that you recall make the difference whether you feel good or bad. These images are either something that have happened in the past or your imagination of something that hasn't happened yet. An effective way is to choose to recall events that are pleasant and associate them with positive emotions. All pictures that appear in your mind have corresponding submodalities attached to them like the color, brightness, size, etc. When unpleasant mental images show up, you can replace the images with pleasant ones or manipulate the pictures. You are not going to feel good about yourself if you continuously harsh words and self criticisms? Using positive affirmations and powerful self talks is the answer. Positive words produce corresponding sensations. To put you in a resourceful state, speak to yourself in an excited voice. Think exciting thoughts, talk faster and use the pitch and tone that would improve your frame of mind. How would you stand and walk when you are happy and feel good about yourself? This simple technique of changing your physiology affect the way you feel. If you don't feel good, move your body in a manner that will change how you feel like walking tall and putting your head high instead of slouching and looking down. How to feel better at any moment is something you can choose. You can't depend on someone else to change or something to happen to change your feeling. If you are consistently feeling isolated and lonely, make a firm decision not to allow anything or anyone to make you feel awful. In the beginning, it's hard. Pretend you are happier and feeling better. Act and talk like how a happy person would. Use your body in a resourceful state to get you out of your doldrums. Do something that will improve your self esteem. When you do something worthy, you will feel good and learn to like yourself. When you have a sense of self worth, you aren't easily affected by people, events and situations that can easily upset you.
