Be honest and frank. Is everything working well in your life right now? Or are you struggling to make it work? How is life treating you and how are you treating it?
How sincere are you in your relationship? Are you being transparent or do you play games, deceive and lie to your partner and yourself? Do you talk about your real feelings?
How are your beliefs affecting your career and your personal growth? Do you practice integrity when you deal with your clients, coworkers and your boss? Do you like what you are seeing and the results that you are getting?
There are many things that you may not want to admit but if you want to experience change and go to another place in your life, be truthful. Don't pretend that your life is "a bed of roses" when it is not.
"Our lives improve only when we take chances and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves." - Walter Anderson
The way to do it is to examine your present state by asking yourself questions like the ones stated above. Seek the truth even if it means exposing yourself to your vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Your answers will unveil your motives, needs, desires and fears. You will understand yourself better and this will enable you to work on your strengths.
Being truthful also means taking full responsibility on how your life has turned out. The actions, choices and decisions that you made were yours. Maybe you were influenced by someone but you had the final say.
Admit your mistakes and accept that there is nothing that you can do about the things have happened in the past. But there are countless things you can do to correct your course.
You can start by setting new goals and plan your life from here to where you want to go. You can begin to get rid of your bad habits, wrong attitudes and negative thinking. You can stop lying to yourself.
If you don't want to do something or disagree with the way someone is treating you or how something is done, be candid and assertive but not brutal. Be straight forward without beating around the bush or hurting someone's feelings.
Relationships work best if there is trust. Be trustworthy. Don't lie even if you think that white lies are okay, because they are not. If you do that often enough, it'll become a habit.
Honesty is the best policy. Avoid fraudulent practices. You may win in the short term but will lose your integrity.
