Cause of Lack of FocusThe lack of focus is one the reasons why people don't achieve much and failed to complete what they started. The cause for this lack of concentration is usually because they don't have a fixed goal or purpose and so their thoughts are scattered. Sometimes they remember their past failed attempts, the disappointments and fears. Once in a while they wish for something better. When you don't have a purpose in life, you aren't attentive to what is going on in your mind and around you. You will react to anything or anyone that triggers your emotion. So if you want to accomplish anything outstanding, you must concentrate your attention on one thing at a time. It means deliberately pointing your mind to a goal and directing your whole energy and efforts toward the fulfillment of this one particular task. How to Focus Your AttentionKeep the pictures of what you want you want always in your mind. Intensely imagine the accomplishment of your dream. Visualize the end result daily. Eat, live and breathe the dream and make it the center of your attention. "One reason so few of us achieves what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular." - Anthony Robbins When your attention is out of control and scattered, you will feel stuck, ineffective and confused. You will see and experience too many distractions and clutters. You are unable to keep your eye and your mind straight on what has to get done. The solution is to choose one goal at a time. When you give specific direction to your brain, it will go in the direction of your attention. Your thoughts jump from one to another without you realizing. You must pay attention and catch them when they are leading you into a downward spiral and moving you away from your goals. Interrupt these thoughts by replacing them with positive affirmations. Concentrate on the solutions instead of the problems. Point back your thoughts to why and what you are doing in the present. If you do this often enough you will form a new mental habit of focusing on what you want instead of your fears and worries. Think of what you want and give your full attention over and over again. Develop the disciplines to take the required action even if you don't feel like doing it. Put your heart and soul into your project and things will fall into place. Another reason why your thoughts are scattered and you can concentrate on doing something is because your mind is not relaxed, quiet and at ease. One of the natural ways to allow your mind to quiet down is to practice deep breathing or meditate. The other alternative is to use binaural beats to change your brainwaves frequency.
