Fear is a feeling of apprehension lurking inside and if uncontrolled will affect your performance.The emotion of fear focuses on danger and destruction. It is a negative vision of the future. When what you are afraid of becomes so intense, you will develop a phobia. The terror will stop you from doing anything. And if you have started something, you will get stuck and unable to finish it. There are many types of apprehension that everybody has to face in their lives. The common ones are being afraid of failure, rejection and abandonment. The frightful feeling is brought about from past experiences. You could also have gathered some horrifying information from what you read and heard and made your conclusion. Your phobia can destroy your ambition and relationships. So in order to obtain successful results in your life, you need to take certain action steps to get rid of them.
Fearful emotions relate to thoughts of getting hurt, losing someone or something and protection against them. You created and developed those irrational thoughts. Identify and define them and bring them out to your consciousness. What are you afraid of now? And what is it that causes you so much concern and apprehension? Acknowledge that you are afraid of the risk that it entails. Accept that risk is inevitable if you want to succeed and enjoy the adventures that life offers.
Look back and see how many of the frightful thoughts actually materialize in your reality. Do you agree that most of them did not happen? The unsuccessful experiences that you have gone through are history. They are still playing in your mind because you allowed them to do so. Shift your thinking in a new direction. Anticipate and expect the best from the future. Think optimistically and have daring imaginations. Prepare yourself mentally to confront the possibility of unpleasant experiences and thoughts.
Develop curiosity when your feelings of doubts and uncertainties appear. Get suspicious and explore your thoughts. You may discover critical inner voices and vivid reruns of bygone incidents from your memory. It could have been one incident in your childhood that you are bringing to the present. Can you see yourself hanging to the shadows of your past? Humor yourself with the mental idiosyncrasies. Reject the disapproving voices and pictures and stand up to them. Clear away your unfinished business. Leave the memories behind.
Change your focus. Gather new knowledge and study success. Get involved with people who know what you do not know and get help. Set lots of goals. Focus on where you want to go and what you want to become. Create a stimulating desire to make things happen and do what it takes. Practice diligently to develop self-confidence and thus improve your self-esteem. Make a decision to attain success. Take charge and move forward.
Build your strength to fight the fear that is overpowering your growth. You will produce results from whatever actions you take. Have faith that the outcome will increase your knowledge and your strength. Get rid of the roadblocks and welcome new adventures. Develop the courage to laugh at your mistakes, to correct your errors and move on. If you were unafraid, you will achieve more. Your life is yours to take care.
