What is Faith

Clarence Smithson defines faith as the ability to see the invisible, believe in the incredible, in order to receive what the masses think is impossible.

What it can mean is having complete trust, confidence and the assurance in oneself and in possibilities. People who have this attitude are optimist and expect the best from people, situations and events.

"If you take a moment or two, every once in a while, to sit still and listen to your heart, you'd find that your world is safe and that there is no problem without a solution. But you've got to learn to trust - trust life, your God, your very being. And as you trust, you'll see that your problems start to disappear as mist before the morning sun." - John Harricharan

How to Develop Faith

  1. Start to accept that that there are two sides to everything. There is good in a tragedy, a divorce or an adversity. Everything that is happening is teaching you a lesson and moving you toward something.

  2. Practice daily quiet times to contemplate on the wonders and gift of existence and life and raise your feeling of gratitude.

  3. Listen to your inner voice for guidance knowing that the answers to personal relationships, career directions and other pursuits are all within. Set true, clear and strong intentions. Seek and ask for guidance to lead you to the answers.

  4. Stay calm and confident knowing that you get what you expect in life. Remember you're just given a limited time to do what you can with your life. Refuse to allow a bad moment or a nasty person to ruin your sojourn on earth.

  5. Give inspiration, dedication and perspiration to others who are in need. Know that the more you give the more you will receive.

  6. Dare to cut new paths and blaze new trails and do everything within your power to reach your goals. By taking chances and following your dreams confirms that you believe in the working of the law of sowing and reaping.
