About EnvyThe person whose state of mind is filled with envy or jealousy usually resents the good fortune, success or abilities found in others. She wishes that the person will lose them all. She might even think of gaining from the loss. This type of person has a lot of spite toward those who have accumulated anything of value. Resentment toward someone will not take away what the person already possesses. You are the one who is losing. The person you are envious of almost always has persevered for a long time to reach her level of success. She has worked hard at it and is bestowed to live and experience what she deserves. If you feel that you lack something in life, it indicates that you have not put in enough effort. It is a sign that you may have to work more on yourself. How to Avoid Envy of OthersYou may not realize it but there are people out there who feel discontent about your ability. You have something that another person does not possess. Discover that strength, talent or ability. Improve on it and practice more of what you do best. Your focus on your strength and putting in the necessary efforts will pay off. Simply stop envying the other person's success or qualities. Look instead at how she does things, learn her strategies and emulate them. Let her success triggers you to do more and become better. If she can make things happen, you can too. If you want to live and feel differently, you must change your identity. Reprogram your mind to think of yourself as a worthy person. If you don't like what you have developed into, you have to change your mind about who you are and what you are capable of becoming. It's up to you to determine where you will end. Eliminate the desire to see the downfall of others from dominating your system. Your discontent produces energy and will attract more of its kind until it develops into a mental and emotional sickness. Channel your emotion where it serves you. Think instead of what you want and what you can do to take charge of your own life. Have you ever put a thought on what you have been blessed with? To start with, stop comparing yourself to others. Look at your own uniqueness and the things that you have been blessed with, have acquired and achieved. Once you notice and appreciate them, you will release the clutters in your mind and your heart.
