Having Doubts - Is There a Benefit

Your doubts about your capabilities and the possibilities of succeeding are the reasons that are preventing you from getting started or moving on. Uncertainty causes worries and puts you in a quandary.

Having qualms or self doubt shows your lack of confidence and low self esteem. It's destructive. You are forever thinking about why something won't work or why you shouldn't trust someone. You don't even want to try because you feel dubious.


If you consistently have reservations on the opportunities that are presented to you and submit to your skepticism, you become hesitant and reduce your chances of personal growth and career advancement. It will negatively affect your relationships.

How to Remove Doubts


bullet2 Remember your goals and your purpose.

When you forget your reasons for what you are aiming for, your mind will gravitate toward the negative. In order to stay focused, put your attention on your important goals. Your goals and reasons provide the inspiration. When you are inspired, you push yourself to go through any obstacles and challenge especially the ones that exist within your mind.



bullet2 Make firm decisions.

When you are skeptical and unsure of what to do, you will tend to think about all the pros and cons. What you can do when you are in this state of apprehension is to make one firm decision. It doesn't matter so much if it is right or wrong. What matters is to decide and end your internal conflict. It will open your mind to find the "how" to get things done.



bullet2 Take action.

Once you have made the decision, take action to challenge your fears. Each action will produce a certain result. It will help you improve your confidence. Your actions will help your overcome your fears and provide you with the experience that will provide you with a better understanding. Keep taking action in spite of your suspicions. Soon you will develop the discipline and change your attitude.



bullet2 Replace negative thoughts.

What do you see, hear and experience in your mind when you are feeling doubtful? You'd probably see lots of confusion and dull pictures showing disappointments and failings in your mind. Replace them with animated images that will put you in a positive state of mind. Listen to your self talks too. The images and talks that play in your mind affect how you feel and act. Always remember that you have control over them.

Believe, trust and have faith in yourself and your ability to make things happen. Expect to experience the best outcome. Once you believe in possibilities, you will push your misgivings aside and act according to your beliefs.
