Do you always have to cry for help all the time?

silva1

Do you cry for help as soon as are faced with a situation? Do you always say that your problem is exclusive? Do you surrender too soon? Or do you give yourself time to think through it? Are you very needy and not able to trust your own judgment and make decisions? What's your type anyway?

What most people would do is to lie to themselves and claim that they have been thinking and can't find the solutions. Then they'll tell everyone who is willing to listen about their woes. They'll get sympathy, advice or listeners.

Do you know how most will respond? They'll say "You don't understand, You're not listening, I've tried that, it's easy for you, or it won't work." I wonder why most care to ask for help anyway when they are not ready to listen to the answers?

Of course it helps to share your problems and talk to someone. But if you created the problem, you should be able to solve it. Perhaps you disagree and say that it wasn't your fault that something happened. There are situations and incidents that you can't control like bad weather. But how often is it that it is not an error that you have made when you life is messed up?

Have you seriously put on your thinking cap? Have you written down exactly what is your problem? Did you mindstorm and write down many ideas or possibilities that you could try? How many times did you try? Is the issue something that keep repeating or happening in your life? Did you solve it the same way each time and get the same result?

Now this is what you call thinking. If you haven't done one or all the above, how do expect anyone else to help you?

Are you really utilizing your brain? What have you filled it with to keep yourself knowledgeable and use them in times of crisis? Have you pondered about the power of your mind? Reading takes so much time you say. Who has the time nowadays right?

Yes, it's easier to cry for help and ask for assistance for someone to bail you out. You don't have to do the hard work because thinking takes effort. You are lazy to do it and you say that it's too much work.

You have the solutions within to all your problems if you wish to find them. Did it ever occur to you that the more personal challenges that you overcome the stronger and more confident you become? There's a certain kind of personal fulfillment and satisfaction when you reach that "Aha" moment. Once you know how to do it and how it feels, you are not afraid anymore with any dilemma that comes your way.

The next time you are baffled and want to cry for help, pause and do some thinking first instead of running around looking for someone and screaming for assistance. Practice the habit of thinking, questioning and reflecting if you care about your personal growth and your life. Don't let someone else decide things for you unless you want to transfer the responsibility and blame to others. Don't be afraid to make mistakes.
