What is Courage

Courage means having the nerves and guts to make yourself act upon something that you are afraid of, unfamiliar with or uncertain of its outcome. One of the bold moves you can carry out for yourself is to make a personal transformation.

Take a look at your habits, attitude and behaviors that are negative? Ponder upon the things that you should have taken action but held back because of fear, lack of knowledge or timidity. What should you drop and let go?

How many opportunities have you missed because you dare not take action? How many times have you felt upset because you weren't daring enough to stand up, voice out your opinions and fight for your rights?

How to be Bold, Daring and Fearless

Visualize

Take a few minutes every day upon awakening and before you go to sleep to visualize the outcome that you want to experience in your life. Imagine the end result in your mind. In your imagination you can become and do anything you want.

Let's say you have to speak in front of a small audience or to make a presentation and you have cold feet just thinking about it. Each day imagine you standing up and speaking with confidence and flair in front of people. Hear their applause and feel the pleasure of being bold and confident.

Get Rid of Limiting Beliefs

One of the reasons why you don't have the courage to change and take action is because you are looking at past unsuccessful attempts or failures. Recalling the times when you felt humiliated, hurt or disappointed can stop you from acting bravely.

Take a piece of paper and a pen and write the thing that you want to do and then write down all those limiting thoughts that say you can't do it. Question those beliefs. Ask yourself if those things are true and still valid. When you get the answers, question yourself further.

Emulate

Look at people whom you admire because they have displayed acts of bravery. Observe their behaviors, personalities and attitudes. Read about them; their struggles, achievements and beliefs. Use them as your models of change and emulate them.

Face Fear

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher

Develop the determination, firmness and the strength to act in spite of your fears. Dare to break bad habits> and temptations and avoid negative people who are not helping you move forward and upward.

Act As If

Act as if you are bold, brave and fearless. Just do what you should and must do. Your daily acts of confronting your fears will have an impact on how you life turns out.
