Confidence is a belief in your ability to succeed.

Your level of confidence affects your belief about what's possible. With adequate self-confidence you will expect successful results from your efforts.

Associating with painful and humiliating memories could have caused your lack of self-assurance. On the other hand successful experiences provide you the assurance that what was possible once can be re-created.

Your fear thoughts associated with false information may block you from making things happen. You need to push aside your worries and doubts and convince yourself that you are going to make it.

Remind yourself of your strengths and skills. It would help you if you focus on what you can do. There are things that you can do very well that others admire and want to emulate.

Taking the first fearful step is one way to challenge your belief about your existing assumptions.

Once you expose yourself to something or someone new and challenging you will gain new and expanded experience. You may need to expose yourself to many new, challenging and fearful things on a daily basis to develop that quiet strength. Empowering results will generate new beliefs.

You think that something cannot be done because you have not tried. Or maybe you have not tried enough. You may not have done all that you can. You must persist at what you are doing to its completion. With each completion you will gain the courage to do more.

If you find yourself lacking the knowledge, information and skills you can acquire them. You can commit yourself to study those who have made it. You can expand your confidence by reading.

Successful people have high dosage of self-confidence. They are not afraid to take risks. What they have over you is their focus on what they do want. You can do the same by knowing what is your passion and desire. Once you know what you want you will have focus and concentration power.

With that in mind you will take the efforts, preparation, study and practice. What you achieve from this day on will depend on what you do day by day.

Your daily acquisition of knowledge, skills and experience from reading and doing will improve your self-image and build your confidence.

Blunders and absurdities happen to everyone. Your belief about your abilities will make you move on and try something else. Gaining control over your thoughts affect whether you try or don't try further. Self-defeating thoughts can sap your self-confidence. Having control over your thoughts and emotions will impact your decisions positively.

When you are able to handle difficulty your skills will improve. You will grow and become better in the process. And you will have control over yourself and will be in charge of your life.

Your confidence grows by doing. When you conquer your fears and have faith in yourself and your goals you will attract success.

Your doubts that try to creep in will be overpowered when you are always actively working toward your goals.

During the process of going from the average to becoming an outstanding person, "act as if" you are confident. Conduct in your imagination the pictures of your achievement. When you "act as if" you are confident, you will act, feel and behave differently. It does not matter whether this is true. What matter most is that it is useful.

Having self-reliance is one of life masteries that you can hone daily. And mastery of this habit will impact your life and your success in your career, relationship and other areas that is important to you.
