When is Competition Healthy

Many people think that competition is all about trying to beat or do better than others. The best reason to compete should be to improve oneself and become better than you were before.

If you can't manage and gain control over yourself first, it's tough for you to triumph over others or circumstances.

The sweetest victory is winning over your own struggles after putting in lots of efforts to become your best. When you strive to beat your past performances, get rid of bad habits and doing activities to enhance your personal growth, you are moving forward and ahead. The price is an increase in your productivity and significant rewards.

Competing With Yourself

bullet2 You must want to win.

Create the desire to raise your standards and outperform yourself. Desires motivate, create enthusiasm and drive you to become fearless. Focus your actions and thoughts on where you want to end. Put more passion in whatever you are doing and move yourself in the right direction.

bullet2 Live in the present.

If you rely on your past experiences, you may get overwhelmed with lack of progress. Use your past negative emotional experiences as lessons to help you avoid making the same mistakes. Recall and repeat success strategies.

bullet2 Belief.

Develop the belief that you can triumph over your opposition. Your main resistance is your attitude and attachments to limiting beliefs and thoughts. Your beliefs and attitudes are powerful and affect your performance.

bullet2 Sacrifice.

Your challenge is to pay the price in the form of efforts and disciplines. You have to work more than the rest of the crowd, put in the long hours and train and practice. That includes a willingness to change.

bullet2 Practice and repeat.

Practice your routines mentally and physically. You improve your skills with repetition. To win over any competition, you need to put in more hours in practice and training. You have to consistently practice to do all that you can.

bullet2 Learn from the experts.

If you wish for success, commit yourself to learn. The fastest way is to learn from the experts. Observe what your successful competitors are doing and let them teach you. Whoever is the winner of a competition has done something that others aren't.

bullet2 Fasten your mental seatbelt.

Be aggressive and fight your fears. Keep your thoughts and self-talks positive. Practice winning your battle in your mind. Hold images of success and convince yourself that you can challenge your struggles. Positive mental images are powerful stimulus.
