Paying AttentionPeter F. Drucker quoted that successful person places more attention on doing the right thing rather than doing things right. What this can mean is that doing what you should instead of thinking how it should be done will determine the rate and speed of your personal growth and success. The road to your dreams and goals may look far and winding. But there is always a little something you can do each moment as long as you fix your thought on the things that matter. In this demanding life, there are so many issues that will influence you and move you away from your goals. At times it gets so overwhelming to stay focus and this will lead to low productivity and dismal results. In order to get what you want, you have to put in the undivided focus and do the things that should get done. How to Improve AttentionThat's the first thing to do to keep your mind fix on a thing. Writing shows a made up mind and a clear decision and leads to a heightened awareness. It helps you overcome the helplessness feeling of not knowing where to begin and what to do. Monitor your thoughts. Catch yourself and notice what you were thinking when someone is talking. Once you catch yourself drifting away, get back to the present. If you do this often, your brain will get the message and help you concentrate. One of the reasons for the lack of concentration is because of lack of interest. To overcome this problem, find something that you are passionate about and learn all you can about it. Once you do the thing that is satisfying, you will look at the details and realize that you can actually focus. Try this for at least fifteen minutes for the first few times. Turn off your cell phone, sit still in a quiet room and just don't do anything. Let your mind wander wherever it wants to go. Initially, you will find it difficult to do this but you must persist. Once you can sit still, you can start directing your thoughts instead of letting it wander. If you're not used to staying focused, use the razor sharp focus binaural beats. This tool will help you gain amazing clarity and sharpen your vision. Your Response or CommentWhat do you think? Return from attention page to about personal growth homepage. |
