"Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen KellerThe desire and sense of adventure slows down or come to a halt for most adults. This is because they may have gone through quite a number of setbacks and disappointments in life. They have lost their childlike curiosity and their desires to learn and explore. They forgot about the fun associated with taking risks, of venturing into the unknown and experiencing fun and enjoyment with each discovery of a new thing and emotion. At times, they act like puppets on strings. They let others decide their actions and directions. Other times, they go through life on automatic, seeing, doing and feeling the same things day in and day out. So their lives become dull, mundane and lack personal growth and advancement. If you wish to make the best of whatever number of years remaining from your life on this planet, you should consider each new day as a beginning of a new adventure. It doesn't mean that you have to take big risks. Of course, there are some risks involved in a new or different attempt. But why must you feel afraid and worry before you get the chance to see if it works or otherwise? Why focus on the negative side of it? What if it works? Remember that almost everything that you wish to do, someone has done it before and succeeded. Just follow their steps. You don't have to get into the wild, dangerous and unknown. It's more about creating a unique lifestyle where you are able to experience joy in whatever you do, have lots of fun and able to promote your well-being. If you have failed in your personal quest, you can start again anytime, to venture out and see what you can do to turn your life around. If your lover has deserted you, this is the opportunity for self-improvement and start anew. If you have not made much progress, you can learn new skills and practice them. Watching the sun rising and setting, falling in and out of love, holding a new born baby, having big goals and achieving them and doing things that you have wanted to do but was afraid are some of life's great moments. Some may cause pains and sufferings. But going through the series of memorable events in life is what makes living worthwhile. Be conscious and get involved. Don't let time and your life slip by. "A man practices the art of adventure when he breaks the chain of routine and renews his life through reading new books, traveling to new places, making new friends, taking up new hobbies and adopting new viewpoints." - Wilfred Peterson

SuggestionWhy not plan for bush walking, mountain climbing, a river tour, or ride a bike to a nearby village. It would help break your patterns of thoughts.
