Does Your Activity Leads to Personal GrowthActivity involves doing things, performing a task or series of task and keeping in motion. Any kind of action and movement can keep you busy and produce certain results. But being busy doesn't mean you are productive. Putting your efforts on doing the right things will convert your dreams into realities. Taking daily constructive actions produce positive outcomes. It affects the speed and degree of your success and happiness. Dreaming and planning are necessary but not sufficient to make things happen. It takes hard work to gain good health, wealth and success. Once you discipline yourself to follow through certain sets of action, you'll set the momentum going and you'll continue moving forward and upward. "All growth depends upon activity. There is no development physically or intellectually without effort, and effort means work." - Calvin Coolidge Personal Growth ActivitiesGather knowledge from books and recorded information. You can learn new things and gather new ideas from reading, listening and talking to influential people who have succeeded in whatever you are seeking. Put aside time each day to learn more about yourself and whatever you are involved in. "Plan your progress carefully; hour-by hour, day-by-day, month-by-month. Organized activity and maintained enthusiasm are the wellsprings of your power." - Paul J. Meyer Make smart choices daily. Observe your patterns of thoughts, routines and habits. Stop yourself from continuing something that does not bring you closer to your goals. Develop better choices and better habits. Your inner critic can stop you from doing the things that will bring about the changes in your life. You have to have the strength to fight back and gain mastery over your thoughts. Confront your fears and actively challenge yourself to take the risks and do the things that are stopping your progress. The present result in your life is attained from your unconscious habits and routines. If you are not happy about it and want to change, do something different. Take new actions instead of repeating something that does not produce the results that you want. Reflect on your daily performances. Give yourself applause for everything good and positive that you have accomplished. Review your goals daily so that you will continue to feel inspired. Your goals will help you overcome procrastination by taking the necessary action steps to move you forward. Look at your goals especially during times when you are having the blues. Consider whatever that does not work as feedback and do something new the next time around. By measuring your progress, you will drop whatever is irrelevant and unimportant in your life. Keep a journal and jot down your daily observations and achievements. Set aside time for reflection and asking yourself questions. When you are tired and exhausted, take a short break and time off to recapture your energy and then begin your activity again. Focus on where you want to go, to have and to become. Take control over your thoughts, behavior, attitudes and emotions so that you can direct your own future. Focus on your goals and find ways to create the results that you desire. Believe in yourself and go through the paces of doing the thing and do whatever it takes. Harness the power of your imagination and create the mental picture of the life that you aspire to have. At least twice each day, put aside the time to visualize the life you want to experience and have. "We must forget what is behind. If we cease to originate, we are lost. We can only keep what we have, by new activity." - William Ellery Channing Your Response or CommentWhat do you think? Return from activity to personal growth home |
