About Affirmative, Decisive and Positive ActionsTaking affirmative, decisive and positive actions produce pleasant and satisfying results in life. Dreams, intentions, expectations and thoughts are the starting points of creating the success you desire. But only by putting in the work and efforts will you produce the outcome that you desire. Goals and dream don't materialize when people don't act on them. Doing the right things bring about the desired outcomes. Even single activity produces a certain result or feedback. But it takes discipline to follow through a plan or goal. It's more fun to play and indulge in leisurely pursuits that to work. You cannot wait for the right moment, the favorable condition and your moods to determine when you must act. If you remain idle, you create more anxieties and tension. Then one day when you find yourself not making any advancement in life, you suddenly realize that the years have passed. And you have wasted your time doing things and taking actions that have not assisted your growth. "Conditions are never just right. People who delay actions until all factors are favorable are the kind who do nothing." - William Feather Personal Growth and Development Action PlanWrite down everything that you want to have, do, learn, and become. It doesn't matter whether it's possible to reach them, just write them down. Make it a long list. Just keep writing about what you feel like having, doing and becoming. Put a deadline or a time limit at the end of each goal. When do you want to achieve the goals; a year, three years, five years or ten years from now? When you're done, go through it. Do you have too many goals that you want to achieve within a year and very few in several years time? Add in mid range goals and long term goals. Go through them. Don't write that you want to lose weight. Be specific. How much do you want to weigh? How many kilograms do you want to lose? How much money do you want to earn. Pick 4 of your most important goals that you want to reach within the next 12 months. Write down the reasons why you want to accomplish these goals. Think through why these goals are important to you. Write down what you think is preventing you from making the move? Is it your fears, lack of knowledge or skill? Do a brainstorming. List down 20 actions that you can take immediately? Will reading a book or attending a class to improve your weakness help? Will talking to someone open up to an opportunity? Don't worry for now whether you can do it or not. Just list them down. Pick one from the list and start from there. Once you have done your goal setting exercise, it's time to implement the work. List down what you are going to do before you start your day and week. Start early and work late so that you can get more done. Do the most important and difficult ones first. Tick off each when you are finished and done and go to the next. Finish up what you have set out to do for the day and week. At the end of each day and week look at your list. If you haven't done what you are supposed to do, do it before you call it a day. There are possible interruptions that may cause delay especially unexpected ones that deal with people and relationships. Here's where you must use your judgments. People especially your family members come first. Reschedule your priorities. Your list of activities should include studying, learning, and gathering more knowledge or information. You can acquire them either from reading, associating with like minded people, listening or watching recorded programs. Fix a time also for physical exercise, mental exercise like visualizing, planning, relaxing your mind and body and time for spiritual growth. Some things you must complete in a day, some will take a week, a month or a year. At the end of each day and week, monitor and measure your progress. Have an activity journal where you monitor how much time you spend on each activity. Study it and adjust accordingly so that it will make the best of your time. Measure how much progress you have made. If it's unsatisfactory, then you may have to look at your plan and strategy and find a different method. Sometimes, it's because you aren't discipline enough to follow through your plan. If you want to achieve your goals faster and build the momentum, you must take action even if you don't feel like it. A tool to help you visualize and subliminally program your mind for success is the mindmovies. You paste the images of what you want to experience and have, add in positive affirmations and create your own movie. Here are 6 premade mind movies that you can upload and watch for free.
