"Accountability breeds response-ability." - Stephen R. Covey

This is how Michael Armstrong described accountability.

"The ancient Romans had a tradition: whenever one of their engineers constructed an arch, as the capstone was hoisted into place, the engineer assumed accountability for his work in the most profound way possible: he stood under the arch."

How many of you are willing to "stand under" your actions, inaction and decisions? Are you prepared to admit fault or failure when it occurs? Are you one of them who like to blame others or has an excuse ready so that you don't have to be answerable?

You may blame your culture, the society and your upbringing on how your life has turned out. But at a certain stage, you have to quit pointing fingers and take accountability.

If you have not had much personal growth and success in life, it's your own fault.

Have you been so afraid to try things and leave your comfort zone? Have you neglected to do the things that you ought to?

It can be as simple as feeding your mind daily, through reading and listening to something of value.

How about contemplating and questioning your limiting beliefs? Have you ever thought about what you have been saying to yourself? What have you been imagining?

So, you have problems? Who doesn't? Who is going to solve them for you? Who is responsible for your dilemma?

Your situation and your future are not in the hands of the leaders, your parents, spouses, etc. They are in yours.

"You don't choose the day you enter the world and you don't choose the day you leave. It's what you do in between that makes all the difference." - Anita Septimus

From now on, remember to accept accountability for your mistakes or with situations that happen in your life.

Forgive the people who have hurt you and accept full responsibility from this day.

Even if it was someone else's fault, you have a part in it. You could have done, said or thought of something that brought about the situation. You may have been expecting it. The law of attraction works all the time.

Don't be afraid to take the first step into a new beginning. Think and expect great things to happen. If things don't work out as you have anticipated, bear in mind that there is a reason behind it and you will stumble upon something better, which you may have not understood.

If you have done all that you can, have a strong belief in your own worth and passionate about what you're doing, great accomplishments will follow. Life works that way.

To Ponder

Even if it was someone else's fault, you have a part in it. You could have done, said or thought of something that brought about the situation. You may have been expecting it.
