"We all have the ability. The difference is how we use it." - Stevie WonderThe simple definition of ability is, having the skill required, either inherent or acquired, to do something well. You, like everyone else have the mental or physical capacity to plan, analyze, organize, solve problems, learn, teach, etc., and produce excellent results. If you have been floundering, it's likely that you aren't aware of your true potential. Here are several questions to help you become aware of your latent talent. List of Skills and AbilitiesAcquire and develop these skills and you will make great progress in your personal and professional life. Reading is a very important activity especially if you want to continue growing and expand your knowledge. However, many adults are slow readers. You can read at least 3 times faster and absorb your reading materials if you learn to photo read. This technique is more advanced than speed reading. You become a good friend, leader, spouse, parent, teacher, etc., just by being an attentive listener. Many people don't have the knack and patience to do this. If you have done an IQ test before, you were actually testing your cognitive skill. What you did was you tried to perceive, recognize, conceptualize, judge, and reason. You were trying to test your intelligence. Some people are clairvoyant. But did you know that you can develop this faculty. Jose Silva was one of them. His method guides you in slowing down your brain waves. You will be taught on how to recall your dreams. You will improve your concentration, memory, creative imagination. And you can go back to your childhood if you want to help yourself heal from a trauma. If you are keen to learn the cognitive or psychic skills, try the Silva Method. Managers, parents and teachers are leaders. Acquiring this skill will enable you to influence and motivate others. Relationships fall apart because people don't know how to communicate effectively. Learn this skill and you will improve your relationships. How to Develop your AbilitiesYou need to practice over and over until you become good at it. You must push yourself and continue until you reach your goal. This is your chance to test your competency. Imagine the joy and confidence you'll gain when you successfully complete what you have set out to do. The mind is a tool that everyone has. Whenever you create something, it happens first in your mind in the form of a thought, an idea or a picture. What you need to do is decide on which skill you want to develop and then imagine your mission accomplished. Learning to "be still" and meditate will help. If you want to become excellent at something, focus your attention on it. Put your mind, heart and soul into it. Your beliefs will determine your result. To counter your negative inner critic that tells you that you can't, affirm to yourself that you've done something exceptionally well once and that you can do it again and again.
