NLP or Neuro Linguistic ProgrammingNLP is the acronym for Neuro Linguistic Programming. The Neuro part refers to the neurological processes of seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting and smelling. Linguistic in this sense is the role of language and communication with others and how you organize your thoughts. Programming is how you program your thoughts and behaviors. You can apply the Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques to obtain outstanding results, enhance your personal growth, build rapport and improve your communication with others and yourself. Most people do their habits, get into a state and even get phobic automatically based on what triggers them. They hang on to old memories and could not figure out how to forget and erase them from their minds. Among others, NLP helps you understand all these and teach you how to rid of bad habits and change your mental pictures and communicate effectively and precisely. "NLP studies how people communicate to themselves in ways that produce optimum resourceful states and thus create the largest number of behavioral choices." - Anthony Robbins Simple and Practical NLP TechniquesYour internal dialogs affect your actions and emotions. When you keep recalling and hearing negative talks either that of your parents, your boss or even your own, you will continue to feel down and depressed. You can do a few things in your head with those voices. Find out where the voices are coming from. Then move them away to any other part of your body. Another way is to tune down the volume until it becomes inaudible. Have you ever wondered how easy it is to turn off your radio when you dislike what you are hearing? You can do the same with those voices. Play around, distort them and have fun doing it. Many problems in dealing with people arise from poor communication or misinterpretation. Either you are unable to communicate effectively because of not being precise in your language or expecting people to mind read. People tend to use comparisons, assumptions and presuppositions in their conversations. Once you start to listen, you will hear words like always, never or better being used. You can improve your communication skill by listening and using the right words. The NLP technique emphasizes on using precise language. It encourages you to question those questions and assumptions. Another technique is to learn the eye accessing cues. Watch when people are talking and notice that their eyes move to certain directions. The eyes either moves to the left, right, up or down. Every eye movement tells what is inside a person's head. It is an advantage because you can tell if a person is creating, recalling or remembering something. You can even tell if he is paying attention or talking to himself. To learn more about eye-accessing cues. click on the link. What is showing on your mental movie? Does it ever make you wonder why and how those images keep coming up? Are the images in bright colors or in black and white? Is it a movie or a slide show? Does it appear in the middle, above or below? Is it clear or vague? Is the picture near or far? Many times your mind shows the same old unpleasant images. You can change how you feel by changing the elements, or submodalities, in the pictures. Memories that are hard to forget are usually in bright colors, near and clear. The next time an unpleasant memory pops up, change those elements. If it is near, put it further away. If it is in color, change it to black and white. You can even insert a funny sound or music to it. You can try to erase the picture, scratch it or do whatever you want. To increase fond thoughts, just do the opposite. Increase the brightness, the color and the location. Have you also noticed that you appear in some of those images while you are not present in some others and just watching what's happening? Being in the picture or watching as an outsider affects how you feel and respond. Benefits of Using the NLP Techniques
